Which wolf do you feed? 🐺🤍

Not everyone knows this about me, but I grew up in a more eastern spiritual tradition. Our teacher (from India) used to share this story about “which wolf do you feed?” I think it may have roots in spiritual Hinduism, but I am not sure. There is obvious dualism in life, lightness & shadow—and last week I spent a very intensive transformative time at @john_wineland fierce love retreat. He also mentioned this parable in terms of relating.

What I receive from it, especially in terms of relationship, is when allowing spaciousness and breath work— or deep nervous system regulation, this makes room for the digestion and liberation of trauma from our system, and this allows us to respond with presence versus react when our “ick” comes up. Our ick always comes up in love, it’s almost designed to bring it up. So to honor each other’s experience and to keep choosing ♥️♥️ Love— to keep expanding my heart— that’s the wolf I’m nourishing these days. This gentle expansion of my heart in slowness and in the delicious nectar of life. Even in the shadows. 🪶

I’ve been really into creating talisman or symbols lately, little magical worlds. here there’s antelope horns, hummingbirds beija flor, 🌺 white buttercup, lotus 🪷 … our creations live on beyond our lifetime.
