Somatic Painting: A Personalized Experiential Journey

What It Is:

The word somatic means of or within the body.

In this Somatic Painting process we will practice embodiment as a way of life through creative expression that nourishes and uplifts the soul. When we first attune to the needs of our nervous system and learn to live in a more relaxed yet awake state in life, our world can feel more at ease and a natural rhythm then occurs— one that is harmonious for all parts of our being. One where we uplift from the chains of trauma, stress, anxiety, or depression, and find a sense of ease and equilibrium within. Come ready to receive a new way of being and living not only creatively but in life.

–> This is a very rare opportunity as it will be live or in present time sessions with you and Alena: so it is highly personalized, interactive and uniquely supported to YOUR needs and aspirations. Sometimes the sessions will be just you and her, sometimes with another person or two — all based on your schedule! You will meet up for creative dreamwork and support 2-3x a month along with small group bonus sessions.

 The Details: 

This is an online journey where you get to work through the material at your own pacing from wherever you are in the world. I will be there to support, answer any questions and offer feedback in our private community. You have lifetime access and can take as little or as long as you need (however it syncs for you). You can go back to what you love or move ahead as you desire.

You will receive one private session from me when you complete this course material that we schedule together.

The course will include journaling prompts, drawing for the whole being, creativity for the subconscious mind, art therapy techniques, expressive embodied painting, rituals for magic and alchemy, and breathwork/meditation that regulates, nourishes, and inspires intuitive vision.

Certification Bonus:

For practitioners or those desiring to build upon their creative offerings, a certification of the Somatic Painting Process will be available upon request. Write to Alena Hennessy to receive the simple application.  You can become certified in this rich offering as an enhancement to your career or healing practice, or as a more predominant passion. 

You can become certified in two ways:

1. Receive one on one coaching with Alena on a weekly or bi-weekly basis for several months. Alena will offer a variety of ways to support your journey. Weekly or monthly assignments will be given for the heart, mind, and body along with desired goals and objectives for your own creative process. This will be a personalized program catered to the unique soul that is you.

2. Come stay in Alena’s gorgeous home and expansive art studio in Mexico this late Autumn/early Winter (Casa de la Tierra) with large attached studio. You will be a part of this incredible creative community that is MUSA on the west coast of Mexico (a direct short flight from Texas, Arizona, or California— connecting flights are available to these states). You may be there with a few other artists as you do these practices together, but the greater community is a forming family of world class creatives and healers. Come for one week and awaken your life.
